“The Water Mirror”, also known as “The Lake”, is one of the favorite places of the residents of Glozhene for recreation and walks. It is located very close to the main road to the town of Teteven, and to reach it you need to cross the bridge over the Vit River in the direction of the football stadium and villa zone “Runovitsa”. The lake was artificially created in the period 1970-1980. In the past, it had water mechanisms for grinding flour and washing carpets, etc. for use by the population. The area around the lake is rather pleasant for organizing family picnics and larger public gatherings. It is close to the village and has car access, a gazebo shelter, and several open benches. The river is “at your fingertips”, and large and imposing trees grow around – an ideal environment for relaxation from the noisy everyday life. A large swimming pool is nearby, which needs serious repairs to function.
