There are 2 churches in Glozhene.
“St. Nicholas”, dated from the Late Middle Ages, was renovated in 1836, now dilapidated. It has the status of architectural, construction, and artistic real estate value from the National Revival and is of local importance. It needs urgent conservation and restoration. It is a single-nave, one-apse church without a narthex. The church was built from crushed and processed stone, including facing stone in the corners. In the lower parts of the apse and on the walls in the part of the altar, there is a lower layer of frescoes, generally dating from the Late Middle Ages. The upper layer of frescoes is from the renovation in 1837. The church iconostasis was dismantled. It is in the new church of Glozhene, “St. Dimitar”. Its woodcarving is in the style of the Tryavna school, and the icons are probably from 1835 – 1836.
The new church – “St. Dimitar”, was consecrated on September 21, 1919. It is open only on major religious holidays.
